The Fate of the Furious is the ninth instalment of the action-packed cinematic franchise, and it's set to hit cinemas in April 2021.
With The Fate of the Furious, Paul hits his 27th feature film and it's something he's immensely proud of.
"It's our ninth in our franchise, and I'm proud of the work we put into it, and proud of the film and its success.
But it's also really important to us as an audience that we feel like we've earned the privilege of being able to watch the film, but it's also important to us, as filmmakers, that we get to celebrate and thank the audience that has helped us tell these stories.
"So it's important to us that we have this thing and we've gotten this far together.
"So I'm happy to go out and speak to the people who want to watch us tell this story.
"So we'll be rolling out this project in April."
That's when The Fate of the Furious is set to hit cinemas, but the first full trailer has been released now.
It's all-new action from the world of the franchise, and Vin Diesel is sure to be a highlight.
"I'm really pleased with how it came out, and the footage that we've seen.
"So yeah, we're gonna see some incredible shots.
"But just for myself, seeing the cast together again was amazing.
"And getting to shoot it in a real city that I haven't been in for a long time and being able to come back to was amazing."
Vin also explained that he's enjoying being part of the Fast universe now, thanks to the new series.
"It feels good to be back with them.
"I feel like it's my due, like we've earned it.
"So it feels good to be part of that."
The Fate of the Furious has been described as the return of the franchise's heart, and it has Vin Diesel ready to rumble.
He added: "This is not a bomb movie.
"This is not a crossover, this is a real movie, and it's the first one that is really about what we do well, so it's the first time we're all together, and it's the first time that we have a real world.
"It's very grounded, very character-driven, and I think it's a real character study."
